BALL POINTS & PENCILS
SUMMIT MADE BALL POINTS:
Despite my earlier belief that Summit only made a single ballpoint, I am now aware that they made at least two. There is a scarce (and rather good quality) model that was made to match the S.160 range, and was sold as part of a trio set. .
Then there is the Scribbler, a flimsy affair that does not appear to be able to take any modern type of refill:
The 573747 patent number quoted at the base of the advert simply refers to Laszlo Biro's original 1945 patent.
SUMMIT PENCILS:
A number of models came with matching pencils. These are usually of decent quality, although the later ones are very prone to brassing:
a few examples (from the top):
1 & 2 - From the S.100 Cadet & S.125 range.
3 - The Pinnacle pencil (unbranded, and I believe also used as a matching pencil for the Rufford leverfill).
4 - A Joy branded pencil.
5. Early H range pencil, barrel stamp "Curzons Ltd"
6. A summit pencil that came in its own box (does anyone have an example of a matching pen?)
